This page will very occasionally be featured for dogs that are without Dobermann Welfare's remit. Sadly people sometimes believe they have bought a dobermann only to find out that they have been duped, or alternatively they may have bought a cross-breed and there is nowhere specific to go for help with rehoming these dogs.

Any dog featured on this page will be subject to the following conditions:

  • Potential owners will be subject to a home check
  • Potential owners may be asked to submit references from their veterinary surgeon or other official party
  • A commitment must be signed to have the adopted dog spayed or castrated if entire
  • Vaccinations and at least Third Party insurance for the adopted dog should be provided as required

Charlie has a new home. Great news this energetic young monster has a new family. Thanks to all those who enquired, hopefully he will settle down to a long and happy life. No Charlie Brown but a Charlie Black, thought to be a a dobie cross lab. He may be part lab and totally black but his pose and behaviour is all dobermann. Charlie is about 2 years old, he has been neutered and came from Ireland with no history. He is very OTT with people and other dogs being full of enthusiasm however he is easy to train and loves his treats. Although he could live with a spayed bitch she would have to be able to match his wild games and because he is in his hooligan stage he would not be suitable for rehoming with small children.

Charlie loves playing, especially fetch (must be the labrador) and shows no possessiveness. He can be left for short periods but until he is settled not for too long otherwise he might get into mischief like a spot of 'cushion tossing'.
